We move

From the top of Our heads
To the souls of Our feet
We've been utterly ripped
Our hearts pierced
Our spirits fierce
Tit for tat

Yet,
If We cannot fly, We run
If We cannot run, We walk
If We cannot walk, We crawl
For by all means, We move

We're AAwuroshi'ye
Sardauna the first
Second to no one

This is Our World

We're back in school, the world is Our library
We're automobile, the world is Our workshop

We're commerce, the world is Our domain
We're politics, the world is Our stage

We're AAwuroshi'ye, Sardauna the first

Sardauna the first

Ceezar with the conquests
Alexander, the king of the earth

Barrack, the World's president
Luther King, a Human influence

Ali, the greatest
A revolutionary Malcolm X

And I, Sardauna the first

Life begins at twenty-eight

From an Addict and an alcoholic
To an Author and a workaholic
And a mindset islamic
Behold! I am sober
And behold! I found My better half
I am helpless, for She distracts Me
Yet I am distracted without Her
But She's yet to find Me
Sometimes love could come in stages I believe
Perhaps We're in that stage 'hide and seek'

O'Lord, if She's best for Me
Make Her My better half as I step in to My life's second half
If She's not, make My mind free as it travels through the breeze
And seek another Muslimah, an Angel, another Ameerah
Raihan, may My mind endure to let You go
Even though I cannot and will not let the love go

Let Our second half be firm as the Bull but gentle as the Calf
Let Our better half fill Our second half with rose
For Our teenage was a toad
But Our youth is an Owl
And Our present, a Horse
Sardauna the First

Our spiritual energy is no quantum nor phantom
Unlimited is Our calcium
We worry not much about not having a mansion
Madam! Na only Us waka come
We're AAwuroshi'ye
Let Our lives begin at twenty-eight

Corona

It was really fun growing up
Lots of meat to eat, even that fish, titus
But oh... Today We are being eaten by corona virus

Hmm... From ebola to corona
Different pandemics
Constant panics

Sometimes I wonder
Could this be a mere distraction?
Or a sign of the last hour brought to Our attention?

Well...
If I am infected, to die is My fate
If I am not infected, I shall die anyway

Breathren, could this sign be a wake to strengthen Our faith?
Hence strive for the best eternal fate?
I wonder 🤷‍♂️

Raihanah

To check in to whatsapp first at dawn for me is a bad habit. Today, checking in just to check You out first at dawn is My best habit, I love it. A Girl is a distraction to a Man's career ambition, how wrong was I... For You are an inspiration to My ambitious acceleration. You defied My rules Raihanah, You are an outlaw. Tribal marriage is My Mother's philosophy, just a picture of You changed Her ideology. Raihanah, You are an in-law.

I am not usually emotionally attached. I have deleted Your contact trice, but oh... I had to restore it trice. Raihanah, against You, My strength is only a pretence, for You are My real source of strength. I am a humbled background but a proud heart, I cannot give You the world, but I will gift You My world.

My love for You is an egg, I guard it extremely jealously in My nest.  Let Me share in Your pain and gain so with Mine, You do same. Let Me paint a rainbow on Your imperfections so with Mine, You do same. Oh Raihanah, let's defy mathematics, let 1+1=1 be Our new arithmetics. Your bold eyes and proud face, Your chicks, as the dawn of the day, is all I long to gaze every minute of every day, oh Raihanah.

Assalam, Sister in Islam

Ussually in poetry, the encyclopedia is my guide
But to describe You, even the encyclopedia is a lie
Therefore, let My pen dance to the rhythm
As My heart give the beats
And My mind wander in the pattern of Your face and grace

Assalam, Sister in Islam
For I have been to places
I have seen faces
But I have seen none like You in ages
I have circumnavigated from North side Borno
Down south Ondo
Through the Sahara and across Congo
But until I saw You, I knew without further ado
For Your artistry is way out the window
What a piece of art to behold

Assalam, Sister in Islam
First time I saw You, I was mesmerized
As before now, to love I was blind
Verily, You gave Me sight
With You in My burdened life
I feel free, as the Bird in the sky
But drowning in Your thoughts, You are the Nile

Oh! Raihan
I am no king, although You are My Cinderella
I am no Amir, although You are My Ameerah
My Mona Lisa, My Ameerah
You blow Me away, as the wind does the kite
Please answer My call, for You are the light
The dawn of My dark mind

Assalam, Sister in Islam

AAwuroshi'ye empire

The know-how, empty inside
But the feeling, automobile
For We're not the type docile

We're commerce, for We sell as We buy
We seek politics, so like the Police, We murder crime
In this World, all We hunger for is nothing but prime

And the little Doves, We aspire to inspire
For We're AAwuroshi'ye's empire

My prism

My life was an aberration
Your moral ego is force of attraction

In My recent days, You were a distraction
For We were apart, yet all I could see was Your reflection

My life is a pin, You are a prism
As through You, I am a refraction
Praise be to Thee, for today My life is in a new direction and dimension

My Specimen

Indeed, my tahajjud paid off
My solitude disappearing
My gratitude unending
Praise be to Thee, for today I am complete

With a humbled Specimen
Of Attitude charismatic
And habitude sunnatic
Her aptitude unparalleled
She is the amplitude of beauty

What a Specimen!
Alhamdulillah ala kulli haal

My story

From an addict and alcoholic To an author and workaholic From Clubber and Dropout  To a Bookworm and being devout  From a ladies' man, ...
